THE ANNUAL FUND
The Annual Fund goes to support the operating budget of CCS and projects designed to enhance your child's learning experience.
The CCS operating budget is established based on a combination of tuition rates and student enrollment. This is done before a single student is enrolled for the coming school year. If the balance of both components is perfect, then we are able to meet our operational budget from tuition and fees. In that case, Annual Fund contributions can be designated toward projects that are above the normal operating budget and will enrich each CCS student's experience at the school. In the event that the operating budget is not met, Annual Fund contributions are first used to complete the budget.
2011-2012 Projects
Donations may be designated toward one or more of the projects listed, or general donations can be made.
* Laptops and cart for 4th-6th grade: A total of 18 laptops that will be used in the classrooms. Cost $14,000
* Shade cover for PK-3rd playground: A fabric shade cover to provide relief from the sun during recess. Cost $35,000
* Recently completed improvements: Construction of the new pavilion, and interactive whiteboard technology that has already been added to the classrooms - summer 2011. Cost $35,000
* Laptops for teachers with interactive whiteboard technology: Laptops will enable teachers to more fully utilize the recently upgraded technology in their classrooms. Cost $6000 ($667 per classroom teacher)
