Christ Community School

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
-Matthew 25:40

Serving Our Community
Our students are encouraged to live out their faith by serving the needs of others in the community. Currently the CCS students support and sponsor 3 children through the Compassion International Program (www.compassion.com).

Ronald McDonald House

The 2012-2013 Student Council voted to serve the community during the school year by collecting pull tabs from the tops of canned beverages, on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House.  Pull tabs are recycled for cash that is used to support families with children in the hospital.

Backpack Program
backpack.jpgChrist Community School partnered with the The South Montgomery County Food Bank’s Backpack Program in 2011-2012 to help feed hungry children all over Montgomery County. Every week hundreds of children in need receive meals at school, but spend the weekend hungry. The Backpack Program was designed to specifically meet this need in our community and feeds over 400 children each week.

CCS kicked off our year long commitment by collecting and delivering 765 pounds of food and 24 backpacks for this program. Food donation boxes are available in the lobby and the last full week of the month students and staff will be collecting donations in car line. Items specifically requested for the Backpack Program are listed below:
