Scanning a Document to an Adobe Acrobat .PDF file or Sending to an E-mail Recipient
This document describes how to scan a document to an Adobe Acrobat .PDF file and send it to either the Staff drive (usually S:) "Scanned Documents" folder or directly to an email address using the Lanier copy machine.
- Place the documents you want to scan onto the copier's automatic document feeder or directly on the copier glass.
- Press the "Scanner" button.
- To send your document to the "Staff" drive (S:\Scanned Documents) in Adobe Acrobat .PDF format, press the "Staff Drive .PDF" button.
To send your document to the "Staff" drive (S:\Scanned Documents) in an image format for later editing, press the "Staff Drive .TIF" button.
- Press the Green copy button. Your document is scanned and saved to the "Staff" drive under the folder "Scanned Images" (S:\Scanned Images).
To Send Your Document Directly to an E-mail Address
- To send your document directly to an email address, press the magnifying glass button.
- Press "Switch Destination List".
- Press the "E-mail" button.
- Press the "Exit" button.
- Press the "Manual Input" button to enter the email address of the recipient.
- Type in the email address and press the "OK" button. You may enter additional email recipients using the "Cc" button or the "Bcc" button.
- You may optionally enter a subject by pressing the "Attach Subject" button.
- Press the green copy button. Your document is scanned and sent to the designated email recipient.
You may optionally change scan settings such as image resolution by pressing the "Scan Settings" or "File Type" button.
