Sherrie Stevenson, 3rd Grade

My name is Sherrie Stevenson and am a third grade teacher at Christ Community School in The Woodlands. I have been a teacher for twenty years in Christian Education and I have taught at CCS for 7 of those years. This will be my 8th year at CCS and I am very excited about teaching and helping my students grow in God's amazing word. I have a Bachelors Degree in Christian Education from Andersonville Baptist and I am ACSI certified. I take my teaching very seriously because I believe it is a high calling from God. I have taught Kindergarten through Third grade and each year I get more excited about my new class and look forward to helping them grow and mature throughout the year by using hands on and creative methods of learning.

I became a Christian at the age of sixteen when my pastor delivered a sermon on Hell and I knew at that moment Hell was not the place I wanted to go so I accepted Christ as my Savior at the end of the sermon when the pastor gave the invitation. My prayer is that I will continue to help children learn all of the concepts in all of the subjects I teach but I want them to have a great relationship with their Savior Jesus Christ and I love the fact that I can teach them that through the great curriculum we have at CCS.

My class verse is Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" because He is our source of power through His word.
