Anne Patterson, Kindergarten

Anne Patterson, Kindergarten My name is Anne Patterson and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Christ Community School. I am entering my fifteenth year of service, and have spent equal time in both public and Christian schools. I love teaching at CCS because I can use God as a reference point for all teaching and learning in my classroom. Currently, I am a teacher for Christian Youth Theater and my husband and I teach Sunday school for the four-year olds at our church. In the past I have served my church as Assistant to the Preschool Pastor, Pre-K choir teacher, Sunday school curriculum author and teacher, and VBS volunteer.

Believing children to be the apple of God’s eye, I aspire to nurture their natural trust and belief in God. I desire young children to realize God is all around them: caring for them and listening to their prayers.

I am married to Bob and we have three wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach, in the pool, on the bike trails, in Christian Youth Theater, and at Texas A&M Corps of Cadet activities.

I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Elementary Education, specializing in Reading and Health with Early Childhood and ESL endorsements. I am an early childhood advocate and have Reading Recovery and dyslexia training. A life-long learner, I continue to seek new ways to reach all students. I enjoy teaching concepts to various learning styles with object lessons, differentiated instruction, and sign language as well as life experiences to establish relevancy for concepts.
