Board of Directors

The Board of Directors passionately serve CCS through motivating every endeavor to help individuals; students, staff and administration, reach their highest potential spiritually, academically and professionally.

Meeting on a monthly basis the BOD facilitates this passion through the following service:

  1. Setting school policy
  2. Administration of school budget
  3. Overseeing the growth and development of the school
  4. Commitment to consistent volunteer service to the school

President

Jeffrey Wilson has served on the Christ Community School Board of Directors  since 2008.  Jeff grew up in Nebraska, but has lived in The Woodlands area for over 16 years.  He and his wife, Tara, have been involved with CCS since their oldest child, began Kindergarten in 2006.  Jeff's family attends Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where they are involved in several ministries including an adult bible study class and men's fellowship.  Jeff is a licensed engineer who received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston in 1991.  He is currently a Senior Vice President, Partner and Board Member of Ryder Scott Company - Petroleum Consultants where he is involved in engineering projects around the world.  Jeff is also involved in several other organizations, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Treasurer

Mr. McCullum’s family has been at CCS for 3 years, he is currently serving in his first year on the Board of Directors as Treasurer.  James has 10 years of experience as a Project Controller and is currently employed with Exteran Energy Services, LP.  He earned a degree in accounting from University of Houston and his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management where he was awarded the Kagan-RollHaus in 2007 for excellence in small business planning.  The McCullum family attends The Way Church in The Woodlands.

Secretary

Marjorie Moreland’s daughter has been attending CCS since 2007 and their family absolutely loves the school.  Marjorie attended the University of Oklahoma where she majored in Journalism – she loves Sooner football!  She attends Wildwood United Methodist Church, is very involved with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and co-leads a Girl Scout Troop.  Marjorie is a Legal Manager for Technology Partners International, Inc.

Pamela Walters has served on the Board of Directors since 2007.  She has a son and a daughter attending Christ Community School.  Her daughter started preschool in 2005 and the Walters have been active members of the CCS family ever since.  Mrs. Walters has served as yearbook chairman, fundraising chairman, and Board President.  Mrs. Walters and her husband Ty have been married for 17 years.  She is a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, where she and her husband volunteer in children’s worship.  Pamela is a graduate of the University of Texas and South Texas College of Law, she is employed with Aldine ISD as an attorney specializing in tax litigation.  Mrs. Walters has had the honor of arguing before the Texas Supreme Court and court of appeals.

Daniel Sanchez joined the CCS Board of Directors in the fall of 2009, bringing over 13 years of project and product management experience and a compelling need to give back to the school.  Mr. Sanchez is bilingual; raised in Cuernavaca, Mexico and has been exposed to different cultures around the world.   With 2 children in their 3rd year at the school, the Sanchez family is proud to call CCS “home”.

Sheri moved to Texas 4 years ago with her family from Alberta, Canada.   The Pickles have 3 boys and have been attending CCS for 3 years.  Sheri says her whole family has been blessed by attending the school.  Sheri attends Stonebridge church where she teaches the kindergarteners, attends small group and is involved with Awana.  Mrs. Pickle currently enjoys the amazing privilege of staying home with her kids and keeps busy volunteering at the school and chasing after her boys.  Previously, Mrs. Pickle worked with people with developmental disabilities and school aged children with behavior disorders as a Rehabilitation Practitioner.

The Landers family has been actively involved at CCS since enrolling their son at the school for Pre-K, that was 6 years ago.  Mr. Landers has served on the Board of Directors for 3 years.  Wes attended Tomball College and is a Store Director for Academy Sports.  Wes and his family are members of Woodlands Church.

Vice President

Slade Swanner's son completed his first year at CCS in 2011.  Mr. Swanner is a graduate of Oklahoma City University. Slade is currently co-owner of Jamails Auto and Truck Services, Inc. The Swanners attend Spring Baptist Church. Slade has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 14 years. Lisa volunteers with the CCS PTF.

 

 

Heather.JPGHeather Cabañas

Heather Cabañas joined the Board of Directors in 2011 and her oldest son has attended CCS since 2009.  She is the mother of two boys, both of whom attend CCS.  Heather is currently the co-owner of Western Sky Knits, a hand dyed yarn company.  Prior to starting Western Sky Knits, Heather worked in various consulting and business development roles in the healthcare industry.  She has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Health Care Administration from Trinity University.  The Cabañas family attends Woodsedge Community Church and Heather volunteers in both the children's and women's ministries.
