Kay Deckerhoff, 4th Grade
Kay Deckerhoff is a Texas Certified Teacher who teaches 4th grade at CCS. She has been an integral member of the CCS team for 10 years. A graduate of the University of South Florida, she is passionate about teaching and uses a object lessons and differentiated instruction to encourage children to fully explore topics, making each question an adventure in learning. Mrs. Deckerhoff understands learning styles and adapts her classroom teaching methods to ensure that every child learns the material presented in the most thorough way possible. Her philosophy is that education needs to be fun and relevant, so she often taps into her personal experiences and life lessons to help teach information in a more interesting way. Her constant motivator is the laughter of children. Mrs. Deckerhoff is involved in her church congregation, is married and has one daughter in high school and a son in college.
