Our Curriculum
CCS has chosen various curriculums for students to promote high academic achievement. From Kindergarten through 6th grade, students are learning at one grade level above the norm in math and reading. Currently, we are using the following curriculums throughout the school. For more information on each curriculum, click the links below.

All CCS teachers use differentiated instruction to accommodate a variety of learning styles in their classrooms. They are encouraged to present materials in a high-energy, fun way to inspire children to become lifelong learners. The smaller class size at CCS allows teachers to reach beyond the scope of the textbook and explore areas of knowledge that students find interesting. The CCS campus, which includes open space and a wooded area, allows science students to have hands-on opportunities for learning. Field trips are used to provide experiential lessons to students. Students in Pre-K 4-year-old through 6th grades have two field trips per year that are tied into their curriculum. Students in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades travel to Forest Glen, an independent Christian camp in Huntsville, Texas, for a three-day overnight field trip that gives them an opportunity to commune with nature and bond with their fellow students in teambuilding activities.
CCS is an approved candidate for accreditation with the Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools (TAAPS) and is currently undergoing a curriculum audit to complete that process. Click on each grade level below to learn more about curriculum used in the classroom.
